As a realtor rooted in the vibrant community of Squamish, BC, I’m always looking for ways to connect you to local events that combine outdoor adventure, community spirit, and a dose of healthy fun. That’s why I’m excited to highlight the 10th annual 30x30 Challenge, hosted by Capra Running Company right here in town — it’s the perfect way to lean into the season, meet neighbours, and celebrate the trail-town lifestyle we love.
What is the 30x30 Challenge?
The idea is simple: For 30 consecutive days in November, run or walk at least 30 minutes each day. No need to worry about speed or distance — it’s about consistency, outdoor movement, and community.
Even better: you don’t need to be in Squamish to participate — it’s a virtual-friendly challenge, so you can join from anywhere and still be eligible for the finishers prize and daily drawings.
How to register:
On the 30x30 Registration page, sign up with your name and unique email — if you register multiple people (friends, family), each participant needs their own email address.
The registration fee is CAD $30 (early rate) — the cost may increase after key dates.
After checkout you’ll receive an email with a link to a tracking page (goes live on Nov 1) where you log each day’s 30 minutes.
Plus: there’s a fun referral bonus — register, refer a friend who is new to the Challenge using your unique code, and earn tickets for a special referral draw.
What’s in it for you? Prizes & perks
Finishers Prize: Complete all 30 days, log your activity data, and you’ll receive a $50 store credit at Capra.
Daily Draws: Since it’s the 10th annual edition, there are at least 10 prizes given away each day through November — that’s over 300 prizes worth over $25,000 in total.
Additional Fun: If you document your month (photos, video, art-style reflections) there are extra prize opportunities for best submissions.
Fitting in consistent movement is a great habit — and what better backdrop than Squamish’s forests, waterfront, and mountain views?
If you’re considering a move or already love where you live in Squamish, this challenge is a great way to connect — with the community, with the outdoors, and with yourself.
Hope to see you out there on the trail.
~Julie
